Specialty Clinics
Meeting Your Specific Needs
Our goal is to be the first place Columbus residents with limited resources go to for quality care for acute and chronic illnesses, social services, and health education. We accomplish this by giving health science and social work students the opportunity to augment their education through hands-on experience while providing services to under-resourced communities.
CFC has numerous specialty clinics, offering an array of services to meet your needs. Follow the link below to see the upcoming clinic dates. Please note, you must first be seen by a provider in our general clinic to receive a referral for a specialty clinic appointment. However, this requirement does not apply to Gynecology and Rainbow Clinic appointments.
Gynecology & Mammography Clinic

Psychiatry Care
The CFC Social Work Team coordinates a monthly Psychiatric Clinic where patients are evaluated and treated by Psychiatry Residents from OSU Wexner Medical Center.
Please note, you must first be seen by a provider and then referred to that clinic in order to get a specialty clinic appointment.
Initial evaluations with psychiatry happen in person at the clinic; follow up may be in person or via telehealth.
Patients will be followed at Psychiatric Clinic until the psychiatrist determines they are stable and can have medication prescribed by the general clinic providers, or will be referred to mental health services in the community if they have higher level of need than the general clinic can provide.
The weekly general clinic medical providers can prescribe psychiatric medication if comfortable, and can also discuss patient cases with an on-call psychiatrist weekly.
Many medications prescribed for mental health concerns are available at no cost through CFC. If the medication is not available at CFC, the Social Work Team can assist patients in trying to find it affordably in the community.
The CFC providers do not prescribe the following medications sometimes used for mental health issues:
- Stimulants (such as Ritalin or Adderall)
- Benzodiazepines (such as Xanax/Alprazolam, Ativan/Lorazepam, Klonopin/Clonazepam)
